Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory

The Cyber Defender internship offers so much more than just learning more about computers. You’ll attend weekly technical seminars, sit at conference tables with world-leading experts in your field, and discuss your work at the Summer Poster Symposium. While interning here you will become part of the LLNL family, with all that the Lab has to offer. This includes fitness amenities and exercise classes, tours of the Lab’s groundbreaking scientific facilities, and networking events with peers and mentors. Every week there’s “Apple Time,” an on-campus event consisting of games, food, and fun.

You can join other students and take trips into the beautiful city of San Francisco, go to wine tastings and museums in the area, or you can enjoy the gorgeous wilderness that the area offers while whitewater rafting, sky diving, or hiking through the redwoods. Farther afield, intern trips include forays to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Lake Tahoe, Las Vegas, Yosemite National Park, or Disneyland. While collaborating with us, many students make friends for life.
